I teach first grade. As we were making Mother's Day cards, one of my students asked if we would also do something for their dads. I explained that, yes, we would also be doing something for Father's Day. This led to the question, "Is there a Kid's Day?" After much discussion and excitement, we have agreed to have a Kid's Day on the last day of school. Wouldn't it be great if all students could celebrate their school year with a holiday in their honor?
