establish labeling of the Country of Active Ingredient Origin on Generic Drugs just like food is labeled

Every year thousands of citizens are harmed because the ingredients in our generic prescriptions and over the counter medications are being manufactured in China and other foreign countries. Heparin is one example where thousands were harmed by Chinese labs in 2008. Some generics when tested are contaminated and have tested much weaker in strength to Name Brand. Let the consumer know where the "Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient" is manufactured so they can decide. This is an uphill battle because pharmacies make more profit on these tainted generics, insurance companies save money and even the the US government saves money on Medicare D when they buy generics over name brand.
