establish a law revoking voting rights of persons on government assistance programs until they are self-supported.

Created by R.W. on June 27, 2013

A person on government assistance programs does not demonstrate a level of responsiblity that should be a requirement to be a voice strong enough to impact decissions as important as who the leader of the free world is. Programs such as welfare, housing assistance, food stamps, etc. Once a person has been able to successfully remove themselves from government assistance they should be allowed to once again voice their opinion on such important matters. This would help encourage those who otherwise have no interest in helping build a better country to improve their sitation at least well enough to vote. And if that's not enough incentive, why do they have the right to vote at all?
