Employers across America are in a unique situation. They can't afford to retain skilled senior staff, yet can't afford to hire unskilled, in-experienced young staff. If they were to split the job allowing senior staff to mentor the younger staff, the employer would mitigate their own issues in addition to effectively investing in the future. Secondly, by implementing a 30 hour work week, the market would adjust as people would have less money to spend, effectively adjusting decades of inflation. Speculation across markets would move at a more sustainable rate. With a 30 hour work week, people could go back to school, spend time withe family, and explore their creativity. With a more educated and creative public America could lead the world in new technology and policy.
