This petition is intended to create resolutions to dissolve and re-write the existing laws that permit State Senators and Congressmen to run for office repeatedly after serving more than two terms. The laws of the land should clearly state that the position of State Senator and Congressman/woman should each no more than two four year terms, similar to that of the President of the United States.
There should never be career politicians who have long forgotten why they are in office; to serve the people. There should not be an opportunity for appeal or repeal after the law or amendment is passed. The power gained by career politicians can't be measured in terms of damage done during their years of service, the end result is usually felt long after they take their lifetime pension.
