Pass a line item veto law that provides the President of the United States the ablility to delete specific provisions of laws that would create unfunded mandates and produce deficit spending. Congress and lobbyists tend to insert spending provisions into the large appropriation bills that lead to wasteful Federal spending. This would improve the process of controlling the budget by keeping expenses within approved limits.
