Congressmen are hired making about $175,000/year, more than 98% of Americans make, even those with doctorate degrees! There should be a combination of educational requirements, as well as public service requirements to run for the highest chambers in government...House & Senate!
1) A Bachelor's/Master's degree in Political Science!
2) 3-5 years experience working in the public sector, community organizing, or serving the people!
3) Your name can't go on a ballot for office unless you meet the above 2 requirements!
4) The requirements cannot be bypassed, or have exceptions relating to other fields (exs: a businessman, a lawyer/judge, a doctor, a lobbyist, etc.)!
5) You can't be appointed to any committee in which you, or your family/friends create a conflict of interest when voting!
