Help initiate and lead a war on gun violence by establishing mandatory minimum sentences of life in prison without possibility of parole for anyone convicted of a criminal act of any severity, whether misdemeanor or felony, during which they were in possession of a firearm, whether they used it or not. The Second Amendment does not protect the use of firearms for criminal acts.
