Establish Membership in the House of Representatives As a Nonpartisan Civic Duty, Available to All Adult Citizens.

Created by P.L. on February 05, 2013

It is our wish to establish membership in the House of Representatives as a nonpartisan civic duty, incumbent upon all adult citizens and assigned not unlike jury duty. Representatives should be choosen not by popular vote, but by random selection from the various state districts resulting in an obligation to serve in the House of Representatives for not less than two years, at which time a new Representative will be choosen by random selection from the pool of adult, resident citizens. Only through an impartial process of random selection from among the adult residents of a state district can we possibly ensure that Representatives will be beyond the influence of special interest and will act always in the best interest of his or her own community.
