establish a national day of recognition honoring the ever-vigilant service of our intelligence community professionals

Created by M.C. on May 16, 2014

It is well past time to honor the mostly unsung heroes of our country's wars and perpetual struggles with foes and friends alike in the global political and economic arenas. Too long have our citizens seemingly viewed intelligence professionals as the true "dogs of war", influenced by dark Hollywood depictions and perceived intelligence failures and overreaches perpetrated by the legions of under-appreciated patriots providing invaluable services to our policymakers and war commanders alike since the days of the Revolutionary War. America thanks its soldiers and law enforcement professionals profusely and so it should, specifically, the silent warriors who serve in civilian, military and other capacities.
