Establish a National Holiday on Election Day to facilitate voting by all.

Created by D.M. on September 24, 2011

On Election Day, many citizens don't have the luxury of missing work for several hours to vote. In some cases, they miss voting entirely. A National Holiday should be established so that the inability to have time off of work, a "poll tax" in effect, does not preclude a citizen from participating in democracy and exercising his/her civic duty. No American should be penalized for voting.
