A government-operated national university system would specifically focus educational resources on producing graduates in the specialized fields that are critical to America's global competitiveness and superiority, as well as to address critical shortages of highly skilled labor in our workforce.
Objectives:
- Create high quality programs that serve only the national priorities (e.g., healthcare, technology, sciences)
- Accept students via competitive examination
- Provide full scholarship to all accepted students, to attract the best and brightest U.S. Citizens
- Address high-need areas in healthcare and technology
- Compete with private schools for top students
- Lower the cost of higher education
- Use our tax dollars where it is needed most, eliminating waste in education
