American consumers are now competing with consumers in China & South America for gasoline. The U.S. is now producing more oil than ever before (Yahoo News). As foreign countries continue to industrialize, the competion for oil & natural gas will get worse, forcing prices higher. Companies are already exporting oil discovered here (Yahoo News). The U.S. likely has enough natural gas under our soil to solve our energy needs for the next 100 years (Phillips Petroleum ads). However, this will not be the case if the oil companies are allowed to export it. Creation of a nationalized oil & natural gas company, with new discoveries kept & distributed only in the U.S.and profits put back into the Treasury would solve this energy problem & create thousands of new jobs. Keep our energy here!
