Establish nationwide criteria and standards for Civil War Memorials and Monuments based on balanced evaluation.

Created by E.G. on July 18, 2015

Setup a Presidential Commission to review past Civil War Memorials / Monuments as well as future planned Civil War Memorials / Monuments for historical accuracy using an accepted panel of accredited historians as a review medium. Historical Monuments and Memorials should teach history over a specific ideology or as a recruitment tool for a specific ideology. Some special interest groups in the United States have erected their own Civil War Memorials and Monuments with their own historical interpretation not supported or widely agreed to by historians as a group. Lets start with a full review of the "Loyal Slave" Monument in Harper's Ferry, VA. Which many people and the NAACP interpret as offensive and not necessarily an accurate reflection of history in it's text description.
