The U.S. Federal Court of Appeals recently struck down the Federal Communications Commission’s policy of net neutrality in January of 2014. Due to the ruling ISPs now have the right to charge users to access certain services or charge companies to access the users. We propose a new policy that appeals to the public’s interest and investment to maintain net neutrality among educational services on the Internet.
We propose the President to direct the FCC to approve of a policy that allows students to continue to benefit from their access to the Internet. The Internet today contains endless amounts of information pertinent to education. This policy will allow students enrolled in both public and private institutions to access content related to education equally.
