Establish a new standard for computers that eliminates the QWERTY keyboard and replaces it with a ABCDE... keyboard.

Created by N.F. on November 28, 2012

The QWERTY keyboard is a relic of the past. Designed in the bygone era of typewriters to prevent them from jamming, it is an anachronism in today's world of laptops and tablets. It is unintuitive to learn and inefficient. It is slower than a simple ABCD keyboard and therefore costs billions of dollars in lost productivity. It would impose a one time cost as people would have to relearn how to type, but in the long term it would be worthwhile.
