Just as FDR ordered the creation of the WPA in the 1930's, our president should establish a program for creating jobs for all able-bodied Americans who need a job, even those currently on unemployment. These patriotic Americans could improve streets, parks, youth and senior citizen services, the arts, and education as they labor, thus earning incomes, bolstering the economy, strengthening morale, and beautifying our land.
