Establish a No-Fly Zone in the Syrian Cities of Hasakah and Qamishli to Protect our Kurdish Allies from the Assad Regime

Created by H.M. on August 18, 2016

The Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have been our most reliable allies in the fight against ISIS. While the SDF has been on offensive against ISIS in Aleppo province, capturing Manbij and other towns and villages, the Assad regime has launched an offensive in the city of Hasakah, which has been accompanied by airstrikes and artillery strikes. This offensive by the Assad regime is hampering the effort to defeat ISIS, and establishing a no-fly zone is essential to continue defeating ISIS and protecting our Kurdish allies. A no-fly zone is essential in the city of Hasakah, where heavy fighting is currently happening, and also Qamishli, where the Assad regime has a presence that threatens the Kurds in the longterm.
