The existing U.S. healthcare system is a failure. It is overwhelmingly complex and wasteful, burdening the workplace and bankrupting the country, without providing the one thing the nation needs---guaranteed access to healthcare for everyone. Let's solve the problem once and for all by expanding the services of a currently existing, effective, nationwide healthcare provider---the VA---so it covers young and old and everyone in between! All workers could pay a "U.S. Health Plan" tax, Medicare and Medicaid would no longer be needed, and all healthcare providers would be part of one nationwide network. This could be a profoundly effective way for Mr. Obama to streamline the government, benefitting everyone.
