We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Establish an optional standard of paid time off for exempt employees.

Created by A.R. on July 27, 2016

Because employers are not legally required to provide paid time off (PTO) benefits to their employees, they have the ability to rescind and revoke previously approved PTO with no advance notice, and can require employees to work remotely while on vacation.

Establish an OPTIONAL federal standard of PTO benefits to be provided to exempt employees that would allow them to legally uplug from work without repercussions from their supervisors. Incentivize companies to adopt the standard with tax write-offs, refunds, or exemptions.
