Research indicates that a majority of Americans support space exploration and believe that the United States has the technical ability to send humans to the planet Mars.
We the People understand that space exploration is an expensive endeavor but also realize that the benefits will one day out way the cost. This program will create excitement in science and math. It will also create new jobs and technology that can be used in the private sector. It will open up a new planet where humans can live, work and explore.
We the People recognize that great nations should lead in space exploration and therefore, petition the President and Congress to promote and fund a permanent colony on Mars by 2023.
Mars is our manifest destiny!
