No other president has ever given his fellow citizens this much access and potential power. And the more improvements we encourage his staff to make in this new petition site, the more likely it will become so popular that future presidents will feel compelled to grant us the same privilege.
There were 22 petitions waiting for responses as of today (May 16, 2012), and 10 of them have been qualified for 7 months.* Such lengthy delays are likely to discourage a lot of people from participating.
