"Unconstitutional" has become a byword in most political commentary. Whenever the government (be it a State or the Federal) acts, there is always commentary decrying the act as "unconstitutional." This commentary is almost always wrong. Yet there are a vast number of Americans who fail to realize this.
Therefore: I propose making a program to educate all children in public high school about what our Constitution is and means. Topics would include the amendments and famous Supreme Court cases interpreting them. Basic legal concepts should also be taught (such as what "probable cause" means for the 4th amendment, and what the "Free Exercise Clause" refers to in the 1st). Simply memorizing the Bill of Rights should not be sufficient.
Funding should come from a special tax on all Law Schools
