We petition the Obama administration to design a program dedicated to eliminating homelessness, and winter deaths associated with winter homelessness. It is our position that no person deserves the torture of freezing to death due to a lack of housing or resources.
1. Dedicate resources to use vacant properties into halfway houses or homeless shelters in communities during the winter where a permanent shelter would not be useful.
2. Establish vouchers that temporarily get homeless individuals off the streets in local hotels during freezing conditions when no other option exists.
3. Dedicate an office within health and human resources that finds a perminant solution and or works with the homeless individuals for long term solution.
4. Research saturated homeless areas provide meals .
