Preserving the integrity of the environment is fundamental to maintaining personal health and the economic welfare of our nation and the world, and as such is preeminent in guarding our long term national security. Reducing pollution, energy consumption and population growth, and conserving resources including undeveloped habitat and species diversity must be guiding principles when fostering economic growth and employment. Acknowledging these goals as essential and working vigorously for them ultimately benefits all humanity, now and on into the future.
