Establish a PUBLIC OPTION healthcare plan. Healthcare is not a consumer item, but a national-defense need.

Treating healthcare as a consumer item wastes valuable economic resources at a time when America cannot afford the waste. ::::: More than half of us want either universal coverage or a Public Option. Find a way to make a single, national “Public Option” for those of us who realize the economic advantages to systems such as the Veterans Administration and Medicare. ::::: Everyone of us needs healthcare. The nation, as a whole, pays for it. A “Public Option” will interconnect patients and treatment and payment. ::::: If America cannot afford to provide its own healthcare, then our struggle to maintain America’s exceptionalism is already lost.
