We the people demand that all potential candidates for public office should have an equal platform to campaign and promote their philosophies to the public. The influence of corporate finance on public elections has had dire consequences, which the current dysfunctional state of congress reflects. In order to create a more perfect union going forward into the future we must cultivate an election environment in which truth pervades, the best ideas win, and the interests of the public are placed first and foremost. In order to limit the influence of corporate interests, elections must be publicly financed.
