...establish a regulated and publicly monitored budgeting system for potential political candidates.

Created by J.D. on November 17, 2011

Far too often our presidential, senatorial, and congressional candidates get into office not by their merit or ability, but by their immense budgets and unmatched spending ability. This leads to a mishmash of men and women of varying degrees of ability and character at the forefront of our country. We propose that any candidate to be elected for government office no longer be allowed to fund their own campaign. Instead they must use a publicly donated fund that will be shared equally among their competitors. No donations will be permitted other than monetary except use of facilities, transportation, or supplies that will be shared equally among all candidates. This is an age where we need the best person possible leading our nation, which may not be the one with the deepest pockets.
