Many people are aware of environmental problems, and are familiar with the idea of "green" companies. However, environmental responsibility is only one aspect of the greater issue of ethical business practices. To help promote such ethical business practices, we propose:
- A tax break for companies that demonstrate continued dedication to maintaining a high standard of ethical conduct
- Merging the regulation of ethical businesses into the Better Business Bureau
- Work cooperatively with B-Corporations (https://www.bcorporation.net/)
We feel that promoting ethical businesses would help our country's economy and increase the quality of life for many citizens.
