The entire British royal family cost their taxpayers the equivalent of $57.8 million dollars last year compared to $1.4 billion for the president and his family. They deserve to enjoy privileges that are commensurate with the highest elected office in the U.S. but it is an unfair burden to tax payers to fund a seemingly limitless budget for entertainment, vacations, and lavish perks such as a dog handler for their dog "Bo" with a salary near $100K and a 24 hour per day staffed movie theater. Netflix ($7.99 mo) is a better deal. In light of the disastrous fiscal condition of our government it seems prudent that the president lead by example with fiscal restraint as opposed to fiscal absurdity and avoid the perception of hypocrisy and reckless waste of our limited tax dollars.
