Establish a Select Committee on Preventing Gun Violence

Created by D.T. on October 02, 2015

Mass shooting in America have reached epidemic proportions, yet the government has taken little action to collect data or establish common sense gun control laws to help prevent these shootings. There have been 45 school shootings this year. 88 people per day are victims of gun violence. Over 33,000 people have died from gun violence since 2004. This makes gun violence a public health crisis that must be dealt with immediately. The congress must conduct research into the causes of this situation and proposed common sense laws to protect the public while respecting the rights of responsible gun owners.
