Establish stretch goals for petitions so that signatures over 100,000 give citizens a greater voice on important issues.

Created by S.R. on May 15, 2014

When you see a petition you support has already gotten all the signatures it needs to get a response, do you feel like your voice won't mean anything? We feel that way.

We should be able to see a more robust response and action when the issues we care about call for it. Similar to crowdsourcing platforms, this site should encourage a more impressive response from the administration for issues that have more signatories.

We have no recommendation on what these goals should look like. We simply ask that the petition process be continuously engaging for citizens and not just another item on the daily to-do list of the administration.
