To establish a student loan forgiveness program for small business that specifically serve individuals with developmental disabilities. For example, individuals with Autism, Aspergers, Down Syndrome, etc.
There is an ever growing need for small business agencies to service this population in their homes as well as the community.
Often times, it is a state requirement to have a college degree to start an agency to work with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Having a student loan forgiveness program will help encourage more people to become educated in the proper way to work with this population. This in-turn would improve the care this population is provided.
There are similar student loan forgiveness programs for teachers that serve inner-city schools, Peace Corp, etc.
