Due to gerrymandering, the two-party system and corporate sponsorship, members of congress feel that they are immune to being voted out of office and no longer feel compelled to represent the interests of their non-corporate constituency. Establishing congressional term limits, under uniform federal mandate, will remove members of congress who have, over time, become out of touch with the will and interests of their constituency and have found a home in the pockets of corporations.
