Establish term limits by proposing a constitutional amendment to limit the terms in congress. Two (2) terms for Senators and six (6) terms for the House of Representatives. The amendment process would then let the people decide this issue.
Each year congress is in gridlock and both parties are facing off against each other rather than working with each other. In addition, leadership in congress is more concerned with keeping their party in control and one-upmanship rather than working for the people.
It is time that we provide a reform of congress. By establishing term limits members of congress will be focused on working for the people and less on keeping their position until they retire. We have already done this for the President of the United States now do it for congress.
