Our forefathers did not anticipate Professional Politicians dominating American Politics.
Their vision was that honest and respected members of our society would be recognized and elected to represent their communities in the Federal Government and then return to their communities as ordinary citizens required to live under the laws they enact.
This concept has totally become bastardized by individuals wishing to obtain the power of public office for themselves and not for the common good of the public or the country.
By establishing term limits, we will elect individuals that are in congress for short times and maintain the focus of government on the good of the country and NOT on what's good for their individual careers.
