Establish term limits for the United States Congress of no longer than 16 years, and Senators not to exceed 18 years.

Politicians that are in office for too long no longer serve in the best interest of the American people. As the Presidency of the United States is limited to 8 years there should additionally be limits on the terms of all elected officials to prevent abuses of power. As power and influence are frequently being bought by lobbiests and other interests this causes our elected officials no longer serve those of the people they are elected to serve.
