President Obama's engagement in environmental protection has lead to a diminished US engineering, industrial, and construction output. If the President is going to enforce environmental controls on US industries, he must realize that the issue is global. There is no benefit to enforcement in the US alone. To do so forces US industries to move to countries where labor is cheap and there are fewer environmental restrictions. This perspective is false because it involves telling sovereign countries that they cannot use natural resources within their borders and directly beneath their feet. It is un-workable. Simply, if we let loose the environmental controls (ie, Keystone XL etc.) stopping construction in the US, job are created. This must be done on a large scale such as nat. defense.
