This petition aims to establish an unconditional basic income system, a stipend afforded to every U.S. citizen on a weekly basis. As a civil rights issue, one's basic quality of life should not hinge upon his/her ability or inability to satisfy the variables of the job market. In the absence of such a system, an individual's interactions in society and fundamental wellbeing within it are far less protected.
