Use the Bully Pulpit to lead our country, in acknowledgment that automation is bringing the industrial revolution employment opportunities to a close.
Reaching this state places our country’s citizens, and mostly likely the entire global population, in a very unstable place.
A few ideas to give the American citizens some time to sort out how best to humanely evolve into the next age:
• Create a national program to implement a high-speed train system between all major cities and state capitals.
• Establish a program to humanely distribute; food, housing, health care & education to each citizen as the market economy experiences a significant failure.
These programs should be staffed by unemployed citizens, including the management, to reduce shock and absorb unemployed citizens.
