Establish "Voting Day" as a national holiday.

The percentage of voters in America getting to the ballot box on election day is among, if not THE lowest of any western Democracy. There are many factors which contribute to the lack of voter turnout, but among the forefront is the lack of accessibility to voters. Some voters work night shift, some have important appointments on voting day, some may be single parents who cannot find time to vote! How can we as a nation stand by while these equally important voters do not get a chance to be represented at the ballot box? If voting day was a national holiday, American citizens would be able to plan to vote ahead of time, they wouldn't be busy with appointments, and they would have time to get away from their busy lives to go do their civic duty! Please make voting day a national holiday!!!!
