To establish in Washington DC a monument in honor of America's first troops, the men of the American Revolutionary War

Created by M.P. on June 25, 2014

The United States was established by the patriots of the American War of Independence, 1776-1783. Approximately 20,000 Americans soldiers died during the conflict. A staggering number at that time, which would be equivalent to over 1,000,000 Americans perishing today! Ironically, in a city filled with monuments, there is no National Monument to America's first troops in our Nations's capital. It is 231 years past due!
