There is absolutely no reason 1 Veteran should be homeless. It is this Nation's responsibility to ensure all veterans have adequate shelter and other basic necessities.
I propose providing homeless veterans with a "Section 8-type voucher" on an expedited basis that they can use to rent an apartment and/or home of their choosing.
The program will be funded separately from the Section 8 program.
There should be no waiting lists and the process should be streamlined in order to ensure a 15-30 day turn around and approval.
