If we euthanized the unemployed, those dregs of society, we could ensure that the remaining population was both contributing to the economy and determined to stay that way.
And, we can turn the actual euthanasia itself into profit! This would lead to a lesser tax burden on the survivors.
We should build arenas in every major city, make unemployment illegal, and then have the unemployed euthanize eachother in the arena. We could sell tickets and recoup all our costs within a few months at longest, and after that the profits could be used to further improve our great nation!
