When we refused to accept Jewish refugees from Europe, a humanitarian disaster followed. Let's not make that mistake again.
There are plenty of sanctuary cities in our nation that would surely open their arms and welcome these refugees.
If security is a concern, we have plenty of island territories to bring the refugees for processing. Puerto Rico comes to mind.
If cost is an issue, I will gladly pay higher taxes to make this happen, and I'm sure many other Americans would as well. You could even design a tax or a series of taxes that would only effect population areas that generally support this action.
Just help these people.
