In the course of me attempting to right a wrong, I contacted the IRS to enter into an agreement to pay my back taxes. I started the process in July-August 2011,only to have this slow moving, confusing and aggravating process not yet resolved. Mind you , every day there are ongoing penalties and fees that are accruing daily! I have called on numerous occasions to get an update on my case, only to receive different and additional information that is requested or relayed to me as a result of a miscommunication or lack of consistent training procedures from one representative to another. I feel that this system should be a more tax payer friendly approach with the concerns of the "taxpayer" in mind! I am a retired Firefighter who wants to do the right thing!
