Freight brokers steal up to 50 percent of every dollar of every load they touch, and YOU, the consumer are paying for it at retail. How they do it is simple, they as a collective fix prices and demand to all industries that need shipping of a false going rate, then broker it to a trucking company at half of what the shippers paid. They tell the shippers their fee does not exceed 10 percent, but no law or regulation exists... so they lie to both the shipper and the trucking company which equals up to 50 percent.
