that every home mortgage should be required to carry an insurance policy that will pay in case of job loss/ heath issues

The American Dream is still possible !
Every American citizen has the dream of owning a home. America has always been identified as being "the" country where anyone could fulfill that dream. That dream has been tarnished because of the recent economic downturn. Americans have been losing their houses, losing their jobs and being forced to walk away from "the American Dream".
While this petition may not help citizens who are currently going through hardship, it can help future homeowners from experiencing the same devastating situation.
What I propose is very simple and makes total sense :
Every single mortgage should have an insurance attached that would assist them with making payment times of financial distress ( loss of job, health issues ...).
