As President Obama has stated, it is everyone's duty to pay their fair share. We propose the following amendment be made to the tax code:
No person, couple, business or corporation, shall ever receive an income tax refund greater then 99% of the total amount paid in federal taxes for the year in which they are filing. All funds in excess of the 99% return amount shall be applied to the national debt and may not be used for other purposes.
This is to ensure that all will pay at least 1% of their income to help defray the cost of government and to reduce the national debt..
