Examine current pricing systems for type 1 diabetes testing, monitoring and insulin infusing tools and devices

Created by E.S. on April 15, 2014

Access to blood glucose testing strips, testing device meters, Continuous Subcutaneous Insulin Infusion devices (also called insulin pumps), monitors and a range of other essential tools to avoid the complications of type 1 diabetes are financially beyond the reach of adults and children living with type 1 diabetes in the USA. Access is often an essential and non-negotiable need, in short, a matter of life or death. The US Federal Government needs to examine access to affordable diabetes testing, monitoring and insulin infusing equipment and give it the priority it deserves.
